What we can learn from Kings . . .

We have continued to talk about the history of kings and queens and what we can learn about obedience from studying their authority. This has led to great discussions about current politics and our call from God to obey those in charge of us even when we don't agree with their methods. We have read Bible stories about King David and other kings in the Bible. We have read and talked about the verses from Romans 13 when Jesus commands his disciples to be responsible citizens.

The boys stacked blocks and bricks outside to make their own castles.

They drew pictures of a king.

And we read this great book (A Caldecott winner) called Strega Nona that is a great study on obedience.

I have been amazed at what servants my boys have been while momma's on crutches right now! And we haven't even talked too much about the

servants . . . that's for tomorrow.

:( I am so sad you hurt your ankle. Praying for you!

Love the kings study with obedience.

Let me know if you need anything! We don't have much going this week.
