My Simple Woman's Daybook 5/4/2009
(Although my computer changed itself to say July 4th, 2009. Hmm . . . )
Outside my window...slowly drying out. Finally going to stop raining by the end of the week and get warm like May should be!
I am thinking...As of today I am giving up this junk food obsession that I've had being pregnant. If I keep this up I'll be huge. Plus I've been feeling yuck thanks to eating like that!
I am thankful for...my new haircut. I think it's time to start getting it done every 3 months instead of 4.
From our lesson plans...reading a bunch of kids gardening books and doing some gardening activities. (The rain totally messed up all plans for last week).
From the kitchen...
Monday - brats, homeade mac n cheese, salad
Tuesday - hamburgers, sweet potato sticks
Wednesday - homeade veggie pizza
Thursday - leftovers
Friday - penne w/ chicken, spinach and tomatoes
Saturday - breakfast pizza
Sunday - chili relleno casserole
I am wearing...jammies still
I am creating...scrapbook layouts, painting a bookshelf, and making a hallway art display. (All the same stuff as forever. Ugh! I've got to get more motivated!
I am going...
Monday - nowhere
Tuesday - PE, gym
Wednesday- nowhere
Thursday - PE, gym
Friday - nowhere
Saturday - nowhere
Sunday - church
I am reading... Elijah by Charles Swindoll (I just realized yesterday, I'll be really prepared for the upcoming sermon.) The Noble Fugitive by T. Davis Bunn
I am hoping...The better weather will help me be motivated to eat good and get stuff done.
I am hearing...The quiet before a storm. My boys are down at Mimi's getting my nieces. When those 4 are together it's anything but quiet!
Around the house...Baking gingerbread muffins, pancakes, cinnamon rolls. Gardening
Spiritual hope for me this week..."Speak Lord, in the stillness, While I wait on Thee; Hushed my heart to listen In expectancy." E. May Grimes
Join us every monday here.

Hope you have a great week!
I craved junk when I was pregnant, too...um...I still do, but my will power is much stronger now! :)
I am tired of craving junk food, too. I can't say that mine is due to pregnancy, though. I am ready to make a few changes myself. Good luck to you...and hopefully I will follow through!
