Our Wonderful Day . . .
We started learning about hands and feet last week. Read books, watched videos, sang songs, tried to walk without feet, tried to write without hands, etc.
That led to Kaden wanting to learn about sign-language, so he was signing the few words he learned all that day to everyone he came across. I love how our style of learning can lead to other thing that interest my boys!
Today we read some more books and put their hand and feet pictures in their All About Me books.
We put this one together.
Will worked on this one (I kid you not!) a total of about 3 hours throughout the day!!! Before when he's tried puzzles it was too hard. He's finally into them (REALLY into them!)
We made popsicles today and played some kind of shoot-'em-up game that Kaden made up.

I had some fun things planned like drawing a picture with their feet and getting blindfolded and touching things and trying to guess what it was. Well, the boys had a different idea. They were really into puzzles today!

We had a fun fitness video for kids from the library that Kaden and I enjoyed (Will was doing his puzzle :-) ).

Today was a great example of the flexibility I have in teaching my kids. We had somewhat of a plan but were able to work around what they were interested in and considered fun. It's a lifestyle of learning! And what I love more than anything is that I got a lot of great quality and quantity of time with them as I do every day!

Awesome! That puzzle of Will's IS pretty neat. Oh, and I don't know if you know, but my sister Arica is a full-time professional ASL interpreter and she LOVES teaching kids to sign. We'll have to hook her up with Kaden the next time she comes down!
I'm. Going. To. The store.
He is so funny!
You get it :)
