More on Spiders . . .

We painted spiders last week. I am a really bad artist (it is something that has really bothered me through the years - probably because my brother was always so good), but I teach my kids to just keep trying even if it's not perfect. They always want me to paint and draw with them, but I usually don't. I figured I couldn't give them advice if I wasn't taking it myself, so in a search to get better at art I am boldly posting my first attempt. Ha! Don't laugh!

Kaden's

Will's water color was too soggy to post. Gotta work a little more on teaching just a little water.

We went on a nature walk to look for spiders and webs. We found lots (even had one on my leg for about 1 second until I brushed that booger to Timbuktu). Problem - still figuring out the camera and really needing that close-up lens, lens hood, and UV filter that I ordered over the weekend. You can kind of see it if you get real imaginative.

We mostly had fun in our adventure in the woods.

Kaden's shooting a deer with his "bow".

My boys always bring me flowers. So sweet!

Oh, and had to get some skate boarding action on the trampoline when we were done. Real safe huh? People, we don't have concrete!

Love those boys, they are so adventerous. I have never been artistic either. I am good with numbers. :)

I do have to get a chuckle at the pregnany update thingy on your blog. It says 68 days "The Tail is Gone!" :)

Are you kidding me!? That is a very cool, funky spider! I love it. I feel about the same as you when I think about my artistic ability. It's nice that no matter what I draw Joshua thinks it's great. "Good job, mom!"

Looks like it was a fun day
